This is a 2 and 3/4 inch long bushing that's gonna be used for your 10,000 pound leaf springs. This does have an outer diameter of about 1 and 13/16 of an inch. Our inner diameter is right about 3/4 so it will fit your 3/4 inch diameter bolts. And you are just gonna get one bushing with this set or this part number. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this 4 1/4 inch tall front hanger for 2-inch-wide slipper springs with a 9/16 bolt hole. Now this front hanger works with trailer suspension systems that have a 2-inch-wide slipper spring. This will provide the attachment point for the leaf spring and basically this hanger's what will suspend the spring from the trailer frame. The height is 4 1/4 inches, which is measured from the top of the hanger to the center of the bolt hole. That's how you get your height of this. more

Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit Installation- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with "etrailer" and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion kit. One of the common questions we get here at "etrailer" is how can I raise the height of my trailer so that it can ride more level with my tow vehicle or so that I can add on some bigger tires Dexter's come up with a solution for this depending on the size of your axle and that is their over-under conversion kit which is going to swap your axle and your leaf springs so that you can lift up that trailer just a little bit. So here it is, our completed setup. We have our U bolts going through holding our axle to our leaf spring that is now on top sitting on our new spring seat. One other thing to keep in mind when you are trying to swap up to get those bigger tires is that you're gonna also need to double check the space you have with your fender and then also the body of the trailer itself. So as you see here, if we tried to really size up we really couldn't go with anything that's wider, we'd only be able to go with something that's just a little bit taller wheel wise. more

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this Timbren trailer suspension enhancement system for under slung axles. Now these hollow rubber springs with a 5,000 pound capacity are designed for trailers with an under slung axle that have a 2 3/8 inch to 3 inch diameter. And of course, as you probably know an under slung axle means that the leaf spring sits underneath it. These springs are going to improve suspension handling and safety and they're going to provide additional support as needed. So you're always gonna have a smooth, comfortable ride. more

Today, on your 2022 Grand Design, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to replace your standard equalizer and suspension bolts with wet bolts from Lippert. To assist us with this, we're gonna be using bronze bushings from Dexter, and we're also gonna be upgrading our equalizer to a Lippert's Road Armor. This upgraded wet bolt kit from Lippert is designed specifically to work with the Road Armor equalizer. It has slightly longer shackles than what you would typically find in this weight range, and that is to compensate for the difference in the Road Armor dimensions. To assist us with this installation, we're also gonna be using Lippert's wet bolt kit as well as some bronze bushings from Dexter. And this is what our Road Armor looks like when it's installed. We can see it is a replacement equalizer that's going to get rid of your old one, and our new Road Armor here has rubber dampeners inside to absorb a lot of the impacts. Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at this spring seat for 5" round 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound trailer axles. This spring seat is a necessary component of your trailer suspension system. When this is mounted with a 2 1/2" wide leaf spring, it is going to add extra support and provide proper positioning for your axle. This is designed to weld onto a round, 5" in diameter axle, which are typically the 10,000 pound to 15,000 pound size axles. As I mentioned earlier, this works with 2 1/2" wide springs. The hole cutout that you see here on the flat side of this seat is going to surround the raised knob on your leaf spring, preventing it from turning or shifting. more

And today, we'll be showing you how to install the MORryde shock-absorbing equalizers for tandem axle trailers with a 35-inch wheelbase here on our 2009 Keystone Montana Mountaineer fifth wheel trailer. So if you drive your travel trailer or fifth wheel or even just your regular utility or dump trailer through any kinda rough terrain, or maybe you just have terrible roads where you live, they're real bumpy, maybe there's a lot of potholes, and you're just tired of feeling all of that road shock, all that chucking from your trailer as you're going down that road, the best way to first solve that is going to be upgrading your equalizer to one that actually has a rubber dampener in there. That's going to help kinda mitigate all that bouncing you have and all that road shock from those potholes and also upgrading your shackle kit and your bolts up to wet bolts, which can be lubricated. And today, we'll be showing you how to install the MORryde suspension upgrade kit with 2 1/4-inch shackle straps here on our 2018 Shasta Phoenix fifth wheel trailer. So the MORryde suspension upgrade kit is gonna come with much, much thicker shackle straps than your factory shackle straps are gonna be, which in turn is going to make them last a lot longer. You're not gonna get all this play that you might have with your factory straps. And the wet bolts that are gonna come with this kit are gonna have a Zerk fitting on 'em. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension Kit for triple axle trailers with 33 inch axle spacing. Now, this suspension kit is for 1 3/4 inch wide double eye springs on triple axle trailers with 33 inch axle spacing. The kit will include everything I laid out here on the table. We'll start with the two front equalizers, also comes with the two low-profile equalizers, does have the six shackle link assemblies that come with the wet bolts, has the six short shackle links, up here, we have six of the 9/16 diameter wet shoulder bolts, down here, we have four of the 9/16 diameter normal shoulder bolts, has 22 of the 7/16 size flange nuts, and 12 of the 9/16 diameter bronze bushings. Now, if you noticed on the equalizers, the very top on each one, they do have a grease zerk fitting installed, and that's for lubrication of the four shoulder bolts that go in here. more

Review of Dexter Axle Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension - Spring Mounting Hardware - DX77XR- Video
Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 2 3/16 inch long rubber bushing with the steel sleeve. Now, this rubber bushing has a steel sleeve in it, it's designed for use with the trailer suspension systems, and this is a leaf spring bushing, it's a component that's fitted to the end of the leaf spring, so that the leaf spring can be properly secured in place. The bushing you could see is a cylinder shape, so they could fit snuggly into the end of the leaf spring. Basically, you'll insert this bushing into the eye of the leaf spring to ensure proper sizing for the suspension bolt that goes through here, and this bushing will provide some shock absorbing cushion to help make the ride smoother. Few specs on this I wanna give you, we're gonna first measure the inner diameter that the suspension bolt will go through, so the inside diameter is gonna be right at 5/8 of an inch, the outside diameter from this part to this part, it's gonna be right at 1 3/8 inches, and the total length from one end to the other is gonna be right at 2 3/16 of an inch. more

We're gonna take all of the lug nuts on our wheels loose while it's still on the ground that way we're not having to fight the wheel, trying to hold it in place while we take off our lug nuts. Now that our lug nuts are off, we can go ahead and lift up our trailer. That way we can let our axles hang free. So now what you're gonna do is grab some jacks and support your axle, cuz the second that we take off our shackle bolts and our equalizer, these axles are gonna wanna just drop right down on you. more

ABS Fasteners Curved Equalizer Installation- Video
Hello, trailer owners. Today, we're taking a look at the Curved Equalizer for 1 3/4 Double Eye Spring. If your trailer has an equalizer that has seen better days, sometimes these wear out as they move when you drive your trailer, and that could be the hardware wearing out, or just these holes kinda weathering out into an oval shape, and that's gonna cause some slop in the the suspension, giving you a rougher ride, or causing the equalizer to not perform correctly. And these are important, because they transfer the weight from axle to axle, and that's gonna give you not only a smoother ride, but it's gonna keep that weight distribution of the trailer movement equalized by connecting the two shackles of the leaf springs. And where your bolts actually go through the equalizer, you do have a plastic bushing, and they're actually included with this. And that way, if your old ones have seen better days and worn out, they've done their job. more

Today, we're gonna take a look at this 18 3/8 inches long equalizer for the 2 1/2 inch wide slipper springs, and this is a left hand or right hand configuration. Now, this equalizer will connect your slipper springs on a tandem or triple axle trailer, and transfer impact between the axles to ensure that the load is evenly distributed. Now, when this is installed, the equalizer will suspend from the center hanger right here through this hole. Now, the center hanger is sold separately. more

Review of TruRyde Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension - Ribbed U-Bolt Plate - TRU69FR- Video
Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a quick look at this ribbed U-bolt plate. Now, this ribbed plate uses two 9/16 of an inch diameter U-bolts to attach your three-inch diameter round trailer axle to your two-inch wide leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. And you can tell that this is designed for a two-inch wide leaf spring by measuring the distance between these two holes. And as you can see, when we line that up with the ruler we are sitting right at two inches. And of course that's gonna be the same on these holes as well. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at replacement shackle straps for your trailer suspension. Most times our trailers are stored outside and they're exposed to a lot of elements. So just like any metal, it can corrode over time and you can see here's our old shackle strap. It has seen better days, and sometimes your holes can actually begin to oblong over time as the suspension moves. And unfortunately, once it starts to do that, it can get worse over time. So replacing something that connects all your suspension, these are gonna be a strong point to have your lease springs go to your equalizer. more

It's gonna replace one of the two U-bolts that secure one side of your axle to the leaf spring. This has an inner width of 2 3/8 of an inch, so it will work for your 2 3/8 inch diameter round trailer axles. This is a nice strong steel construction to ensure a nice long lasting durability. more
